The park district has been receiving questions regarding dead fish at Buckeye Woods Park over the last several days. Due to the extreme weather conditions this summer, including high temperatures and drought conditions, the oxygen levels in the pond have dropped while water temperatures have risen to high levels. These conditions have caused the death of fish in the pond at Buckeye Woods Park. These conditions may cause fish to die at other pond locations as well.
