Geocaching
Geocaching is a game in which participants use a hand-held electronic device called a Global Positioning System (GPS)
to hide and seek containers called geocaches anywhere in the world. This high-tech game of treasure hunting can be
enjoyed by people of all ages, and is a great way to spend time with the family in the great outdoors!
The Medina County Park District supports the sport of geocaching (and letterboxing) through education programs,
special events, and permitting caches to be hidden in our parks. For a complete list of caches hidden in our parks, go
to www.geocaching.com, click on hide and seek a cache, then search by ‘found by username’ and enter medina
county parks.
If you are interested in placing a geocache in our parks, click on the links below for a copy of the rules for placing a cache and a permit application.
Questions regarding geocaching or permit applications can be directed to Shelley Tender, Program Coordinator, at 330-239-4814.or stender@medinaco.org.
