Green Leaf Park

1674 S. Medina Line Road
Sharon Center
Located at the corner of Medina Line Rd and State Route 162

This 62-acre facility, the first land developed as a county park, was once a gravel pit. Visitors to the park would never know its past as they enjoy the grassy slopes and wooded nature trail.

Active recreation facilities in the form of a football/soccer field and t
wo reservable picnic shelters are located at this park. The hill overlooking the fields is a favorite spot for sledding in the winter. The park provides the setting for the early 1800's Hard family log cabin. One of the earliest homes known to exist in the county, this structure was moved to the park by the Sharon Historical Society. The Medina County Herb Society maintains an herb garden near the cabin for park visitors to enjoy. A small pond located at the park is available for those who enjoy fishing.

Two reservable picnic shelters provide perfect settings for family reunions or group activities. There are plenty of individual picnic tables for families to enjoy at the park as well.

Take a stroll on the nature trail. Visit the park in the spring and hear the chorus of Spring Peepers found in the wetland located in the park. During all seasons, there is something special to enjoy at Green Leaf Park.
