2011 Homeschoolers Outdoor Education

The Homeschoolers Outdoor Education Series is for students ages 7 to 12. There is no fee to attend. Parents and younger siblings are asked to enjoy the library facility or hike the south trails while their participating children are attending the naturalist-led program. To register for these programs, call the park office at (330)722-9364, (330)225-7100 ext. 9364, or (330) 336-6657 ext 9364. All program registrations must be made via the telephone. We cannot accommodate requests through e-mail.

Food Chains
Tuesday, January 4
Wolf Creek Environmental Center
10 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 2:30 p.m.
All living creatures are part of an ecosystem. Everybody has to eat something. Learn about who eats what in the animal world and play a food chain game. Ages 7 to 12. Registration open until filled. Free for Medina County residents. There is a $3 fee per out-of-county student.

Nibblers and Diggers

Mice, moles, voles, and shrews may look similar but actually belong in a variety of different families. Discover the importance of these little creatures as we explore their lives and habits. Be prepared for a hike. Ages 7 to 12. Registration open until filled. Free for Medina County residents. There is a $3 fee per out-of-county student.
