Medina County Park Locations

The following locations are closed to the public until further notice: Wolf Creek Environmental Center (grounds are open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Susan Hambley Nature Center, and park district headquarters.

The health and safety of visitors is Medina County Park District’s number-one priority. To help avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we ask park visitors to:

  • Stay home if you feel ill.
  • Keep a six-foot distance between yourself and others.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough.

Visitors utilizing the park district’s open-air shelters must adhere to public health orders issued by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health.

Parks and nature preserves are open daily from 6 a.m. to one hour past sunset. The exception is Wolf Creek Environmental Center/Alderfer-Oenslager Wildlife Sanctuary grounds which are open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are subject to holiday hours when applicable. Chippewa Lake and the public boat launch ramp are both open 24-hours per day.
