Medina County Park District Geocaching

Geocaching is a high-tech, outdoor treasure-hunting game in which participants use GPS- enabled devices to hide and seek containers called "geocaches" anywhere in the world.

Letterboxing is an intriguing and artistic treasure-hunt style outdoor activity in which participants hide small containers that can be found by cracking codes and following clues.

Both activities can be enjoyed by people of all ages and are a great way to spend time with the family outdoors!

Medina County Park District supports the sports of geocaching and letterboxing through education programs, special events, and by granting permission for containers to be hidden in the parks.

If you are interested in placing a geocache or letterbox in one of the parks, click on the icons for a copy of the rules for placing a cache and for a permit application. The permit application is a pdf document that can be filled-in online using Acrobat Reader DC. If you do not have that program, you may print the application and mail it in.
