Current Job Opening: Seasonal Naturalist
Job description: Temporary seasonal position under the direction of the interpretive services manager, the seasonal naturalist assists with facilitating interpretive, educational, and recreational programs and hosting of nature facilities from May 1 to October 31.

Requirements: Some experience as a naturalist preferred but will consider a fourth-year student enrolled in an accredited college or university with a major in conservation, biology, education, or related field. Must have a good basic knowledge and appreciation of Ohio flora and fauna and flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
Possess and maintain a valid Ohio motor vehicle operator’s license with an insurable/acceptable driving record.

Current Job Opening: Seasonal Park Laborer
Job Description: Temporary seasonal position under the direction of the maintenance superintendent, park laborers work in the area of park maintenance, including grounds keeping, repairs, and other work necessary for the operation and upkeep of park facilities from April 15 to October 15.

Examples of duties:
Safe operation of park vehicles and maintenance equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers, power tools, tractors, etc.
Cleaning of buildings, rest rooms, vehicles, equipment, etc.
Grounds keeping activities, including litter and trash pick-up, mowing, trimming, cleaning shelters/buildings, cleaning rest rooms, emptying trash baskets, trail maintenance, painting, mulching, raking, landscaping, and various other maintenance duties.
Desired Training and Experience Requirements
Any combination of training and/or experience that would indicate possession of the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
High school diploma.
Possession of a valid Ohio motor vehicle operator’s license with a good driving record (must be insurable).
Hourly rate: $16/hour

Job Description: Under the direction of the natural resource manager, assists with duties pertaining to natural resource management including: invasive plant management; aquatic management project; tree maintenance projects; park maintenance activities; operation of mowing equipment, chainsaws, tractors, and trucks; natural resource inventories (i.e., flora and fauna surveys); and other duties as assigned
